A rare photo of Marilyn Monroe at her school graduation is to go on sale.
Amid a sea of fresh faces, the then innocent 15-year-old can be seen in the panoramic shot of the whole class year at Ralph Waldo Emerson Junior High School in Los Angeles.
Monroe was then known as plain Norma Jeane Baker in the summer of 1941 but within a few years would become a model, actress and global sex symbol.
The photograph, which measures 20cm x 60cm, is expected to sell for up to STG1500 ($NZ2,900) when it goes under the hammer at the auction in Stockport, Cheshire, next week.
Also up for sale at the same auction are nine Christmas cards sent by Charles and Diana, the Prince and Princess of Wales.
The cards, sent over successive years, feature photos of young William and Harry growing up and are signed by the royal couple with festive greetings.
More information on the lots and the auction, on November 30, can be found at www.omegaauctions.co.uk.
