A UK bank clerk who dreamed of being a model is facing jail after stealing $90,000 to fund cosmetic surgery and a shopping spree.
Rachel Claire Martin has admitted in court to helping herself to the till at the Barclays bank where she worked in Cornwall , news website This is Cornwall reports.
The 24-year-old allegedly stole $90,404 in 25 small transactions over an eight-week period between 1 September and 3 October 2010.
Police believe Martin took amounts of $2000 to $3500 at a time, but on one occasion withdrew over $10,000.
The St Austell mother-of-one, who is reported to be an aspiring model, paid $7860 for breast enlargement surgery and $3335 for dental work to whiten her teeth.
Martin also splashed out on liposuction, hair extensions, clothes and make-up with the stolen money.
She had denied the allegations since her arrest in October 2010 but entered a guilty plea in Truro Crown Court on Monday.
