Instant Win, 1993

Few advertisements are funny and clever enough to cut through the marketing noise that inundates us during commercial breaks. Tara Prangell looks back at some of the memorable kiwi commercials that we just couldn't forget, let alone mute or ignore.

The Instant Kiwi Attitude by NZ Instant Win advertisement first went to air in 1993.
It was so popular that it was updated in 1999 and modified for 2009 to include the Instant Win Mexican guy as seen in their other commercials.
The ad depicts the 'go-getter' attitude of a Kiwi - you don't sit back and wait for the fish to come to you, you make the catch happen, no matter what strategy you use.
